Life is rather fabulous, wouldn’t you agree?

Yawn

Wow, this is pretty dead.

I was thinking maybe I’d come back, see how evreything was going, because I haven’t been on since forever. Anyways, yikes, this theme sucks. I’m gunna change it again, because, like, wowww, it’s super boring. Sorry bout that. Maybe I’ll start coming on more often, because well, its pretty obvi that I haven’t been. I need sumthing more interesting so that I actually come on.

Mkay, so yeaaah, anyhoo, anybody been listening to Girlicious lately? Y’know, Robin Antin’s new hookers. Jks! ;) I lurrrve there new track, Baby Doll. It’s super catchy. And Lady Gaga. She’s the new superstar, obvi. If you haven’t heard of her, than you must’ve been living under a rock for the past five months. Just Dance was a smash hit, and now she’s got out the remix with Kardinall Offishal and the new track, Poker Face (which is totally hot, btw).

Lately, I’ve been so into Bluenotes jeans. If you don’t have a pair, you need to move your lil tush right off to your nearest location and buy yourself some Paris Blues (which, coincedentally, I’m wearing right now). There’s about five or six different kinds of jeans, categorized by different cute names. For example, the Kates are relaxed flares, and Parises (see above) are low-rise flare. I’d tell ya the rest of the names, but I can’t really remember them right now.

I’ve also been hittin’ up H&M a lot. My latest purchases have been a creamy white sweater with gold stars on it, some silver bangles, and a pair of gold hoops. It’s definitely the store where you’ll find all the hottest trends. ‘Course, everyone already knew that, but you can’t really overstate how cute all their stuff is. ;)

On the tube, my latest obsessions include Gossip Girl (no duh-who can resist?) and Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. Of course, Miss Hilton can’t really be taken all that seriously, but the show definitely has enough drama to last a while. And now that the finale’s almost here, we’ll all finally find out who made the cut – Vanessa or Brittany? Better watch.

That’s all that’s new for now, I’ll bbs for more!

Maybe.

;)

I’ve just finished the renovations. New theme, cleaned out the posts, and gotten rid of the useless widgets. Now we have a clean slate to work on. ;)

So, lately life has been going pretty well, I’ve finally gotten the hang of school. Lots of tests and quizzes, I have a French quiz tomorrow, actually. *sighs*  Sadly, it is going by much to slowly. At least now it’s October, I can relax a little. September was hell.

Anyways, lately I’ve been taking up some new psionic projects. I’m widening my range of telepathy – expanding from just TPS to actual recieving – and getting some good results. I’ve learned how to make shields too, but mine don’t last for very long yet, maybe only a few hours. But they’re quite useful when they do work, they help me block out negative energy and keep minor headaches at bay. I just started scanning two days ago, I’m going to start trying it at school tomorrow. And my most recent adventures have been concerning telekinesis, or psychokinesis, one of the harder skills to learn. So far, I’ve only been able to make the wheel shake a little bit.

Fashionwise, I’ve got loads to tell you. I won’t get into it right now, but be on the lookout for fashion and beauty updates here. There’s lots on current trends and what is flattering on different kinds of people. A trend sneak peek includes: plaid/tartan/checkers, ruffles, lace (so in!), and this fall’s hottest colours – yellow and purple – but not together ;) .

Until Then will have Chapter Five up very soon, be prepared, it gets pretty good!

Have fun on the new Life is Really Weird!

Renovations

Posted by: katiee on: October 3, 2008

Hey chickies, as you’ve prob already guessed, my blog is getting another little makeover. Why? Because lately I’ve been feeling that the blog has been not-so-hot, I haven’t been interested in it/I haven’t had any time to be on, and the views have been going waaay down because of that, so I just think that a re-vamp would be a fab idea.

This time, I’m also cleaning house. I’m going to re-organize my posts and get rid of some stuff that I don’t really blog about anymore. There’s mucho grande that I’ve totally forgotten about, so you can say au revoir to the stuff that hasn’t been updated in like, a month.

So, bear with me for now as the blog undergoes its renov’s, and it should be all up and fabulous in a few days. I’m going to be taking a whole new approach to this blog thingy, which will, if all goes smoothly, keep me writing and you peeps visiting. ;)

Chapter Four

Posted by: katiee on: September 20, 2008

Principal Runson led October through the school, passing by some of the smaller portables just inside the outside wall and back out into the parking lot. October followed the older woman down a cobblestone walkway towards what looked like the residential area. Here the buildings were much older, most likely built in the Victorian ages, judging by their structure. October couldn’t help but marvel at the dark beauty they beheld, the mystery that lingered within the tall windows and ivy-covered bricks.

They stopped at a large, yellow-bricked house that had a bay window nearly overgrown with a giant rosebush planted in front of it. Two square columns with faded white paint held a small portion of the roof above the porch, which was made out of a dark, weathered wood. An ancient tree dominated the right side of the yard, standing out from the forest behind it.

October walked slowly up the steps towards her new home. It squeaked under her weight as she moved, but it was a welcome sound – the noise of a house that was well-loved. Her eyes traced over the outdoor lamp left of the door; it was a near perfect replica of authentic Gothic artistry.

Principal Runson noticed October’s admiring gaze. “You like it?” she asked with a rare smile.

“It’s beautiful.”October said simply. Principal Runson smiled wider, appeased.

They entered the house, into a hallway with a wooden staircase (with the same paneling as the floor) rising to the next floor. To the left was what October thought to be the living room. She peered in.

Inside it was cozy and styled similarly to the building’s era, but it was obvious that the furniture had been purchased recently. The paintings on the walls were the only hints of an earlier making, a few seemed to be at least a century old. The walls were again wallpapered, this time a dark red. A massive fireplace that looked as though it hadn’t been touched in decades dominated the closer right corner.

“That is your common room.” Principal Runson said curtly, and led October up the stairs. At the landing, five doors stood out from the walls, but the hallway was vacant besides them. “The door on your very right is the bathroom. Your room will be here, on the left, and you will be sleeping in this room on the left. Your roommate is Azala, and I trust you will find her quite, erm, accommodative.”

Azala. Why did that name sound familiar? October scratched her head absentmindedly, wondering where she would’ve heard a name as bizarre as that before. Principal Runson rapped on the door with her knuckles smartly, and after a long moment, the door opened.

The girl standing in the threshold was a little shorter than average height. She was thin and pale, and her hair stood out shockingly against her face. It was a dark chestnut, nearly black, and shoulder-length. Her hair was straight and pulled back into a half ponytail, but strands had escaped and framed her face in a charming way. She had vivid, deep-blue eyes, again another shocking contrast. A thick frame of long black lashes surrounded them, and her jet black eyebrows were raised in a way that October thought seemed challenging. She had small but full lips that were painted a deep red. Again October was struck with a sense of unplaced familiarity.

“Can I help you?” the girl asked in a condescending tone. Her voice was a little rough, and husky.

“Yes, Azala, this is your new roommate, October Peters. She will be staying with you for the remainder of the year.” Principal Runson said in an authoritative voice. Clearly, this girl was not a model student. Perhaps one associated with what the English teacher was speaking of earlier? October felt a stab of nervousness.

Azala’s eyes traveled to October, who had a sense that she was being sized up. When their eyes met, October could catch every emotion that the girl was feeling across her face, as if she had difficulty keeping them concealed. First, intense surprise, as she took in October’s appearance. What was so shocking, October didn’t know. Then, a flit of smug happiness, as if she was pleased with her, and finally chagrin as she seemed to fully realize that she would have to share her room.

“Hi.” October said as the silence began to grow uncomfortable.

“Hello.” Azala replied, her face now contempt. “Thanks, Principal R. I think I can manage it from here.”

Principal Runson replied with a doubtful look, but otherwise said nothing. She whisked away with a sharp clack of her heels.

October stood in the doorway awkwardly, not sure of what to do. Azala turned away and flounced onto her bed. After a moment she looked at October again with a confused look on her face. “Well? Were you going to come in?” she asked.

Now feeling very foolish, October shuffled into the room, dragging her suitcase behind her. Her room was much the same as everywhere else on the campus, Victorian-styled and comforting. The walls were painted a pale cream. A big window overlooked the pathway that led back to the school, and the other residential houses on the street.

“You can have that bed.” Azala pointed to the bed by the window, and sat back down on the other. It was unmade, and the floor around it was dotted with shoes and homework. There was a small alarm clock on the little nightstand in between the beds. A few t-shirts were draped over furniture, and a black bag was hanging from a desk chair. There were no pictures anywhere.

“Uh, thanks.” October said, and sat down as well. They sat together in silence for a few moments, and then Azala asked, “So, where are you from?”

“Um, I lived with a bunch of foster families, usually in Dryder, and I was back at the centre last week so I could get my stuff together and come here. Now that I’m fifteen they think I’m too old to be seriously considered for permanent adoption, so they sent me here.” October paused. It was the longest she had spoken for in a while. She found it strangely easy to converse with this girl who was so different from herself.

“Me, too,” Azala said. “Well, the foster care part, anyways. But I lived in Timton, and I was permanently adopted, but my family sends all their kids to boarding school when they turn ten. I lost all my cuteness by then, so I guess they sorta got tired of me, anyways. Sometimes they still make me go home for holidays.” She made a face; it was obviously not a pleasant experience.

October nodded. “That kind of, um, sucks.”

Azala grinned. “Yeah, I know. But I don’t mind it here. You have to wear a uniform” – here she made a face again – “but that’s still not so bad. The food is good, at least. And each house gets a TV in its living room, isn’t that cool? And classes are pretty easy, you think it’s going to be hard, ’cause it’s a boarding school, but really it’s simple. Unless you’re Marvin Quarks.” She laughed shortly.

“Who’s that?” October asked, curious about her new environment.

“Only the dumbest kid in fifth form.” Azala answered, grinning. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t know how to tie his shoelaces. So, do you think you’ll like it here?”

October sighed. “I really don’t know. I’ll probably get lost, to be honest.”

Azala laughed again. “Don’t worry, I’ll help you out. People in the same dorm always have the exact same schedules.”

October nodded, relieved. “Thanks.”

They talked for a while longer, until Azala stated that it was time for dinner. Azala lead October down the stairs of the giant house and out the door. October, perplexed, stopped at the end of the walkway. “Uh, isn’t there a kitchen inside the house?”

Azala turned around and laughed. “Yeah, but they don’t let us use them. They’re “a danger to our safety,” according to Principal R. We all eat together up at the school cafeteria, it’s back at the castle.”

Perhaps it was because the look on October’s face gave it away, or maybe Azala could just sense that October was uncomfortable, but whatever the reason she leant over and gave October a hug. October, who was unused to such contact, stiffened immediately. Either Azala didn’t notice or didn’t care, because she didn’t relax her hold. “Don’t freak out about the other people here, I’ll protect you.” she said jokingly, and led October down the path back to the castle.

It wasn’t until October was standing right outside the cafeteria doors did she fully realize that behind them were about 500 adolescent teenagers who probably were not so open to the idea of a new student who was the first “new student” to arrive in a long time. The last time that October had been forced to attend a private school – where only the rich kids who had already gone there for years went – was when she was seven, and she had come home fighting back tears. She started to drum her fingers anxiously, awaiting the moment when the doors would open, and everyone would see her.

Azala gave her another encouraging hug. This time, October did not shrink away. She started to see that it was just what Azala did when she was trying to be comforting.

“If anyone laughs at you or something, I’ll beat them up, I promise,” Azala laughed. October stepped back and looked at Azala with a doubtful look on her face, noting how tiny the girl actually was. Azala just laughed as she realized what October was thinking and opened the door, as October was finally revealed to the rest of the school.

Some fab new stuff

Posted by: katiee on: September 20, 2008

Okay, so firstly, I just wanted to say sorry for the fact that I haven’t updated the blog in a very long time. About a week, I think. I’ve been so busy with school and extra curriculars and HOMEWORK (our math teacher seriously piles it on) that I haven’t had a chance to get onto the computer until tonight. Lately I’ve been getting up at 6 or 6:30, depending on the day, and often I won’t even get home until 4, sometimes 4:45. There’s just so much now that school’s started again.

Anyways, I have been working on Until Then, and I have just finished Chapter Four. It’s going up tonight. I have to warn you, it’s a long one – so I’m going to be posting it in two parts, the first part will be on the blog in a few minutes, and the second I hope to get up by tomorrow. So far this has been my favourite part of the story, it’s a pretty pivotal plot-turn. I really, really hope you guys like it.

I’m hoping to get a couple of articles on psi written and up here soon, so that you guys can start learning about it. My personal training is going really well, I’m getting quite good at programming constructs and I’ve started using telepathy pinging/sending a lot. Grounding is going really well for me, too. I love the feeling right after you finish the excerise, though sadly as I do it in math class the feeling doesn’t last long (you quickly have to start using a lot of energy again).

Part 1 of chapter four should be up soon, so enjoy!!

Boycotts & Barflies

Posted by: katiee on: September 13, 2008

So, I was on Facebook last night, on the discussion boards of Because I Read Twilight I Have Unrealistic Expectations of Men, and I came across this link to a Twilight fanfiction. The person who posted the link said it was amazing, so I thought, Okay, I’ll check it out.

The story was called Boycotts and Barflies, and the person was totally right. This is one of the freakin’ best fanfics I’ve ever read. It’s vair vair smexy and captivating, I absolutely loved it.

So basically, all the main characters are human, and there are no werewolves. Sorry, Jacob-lovers. Anyways, Rosalie, Bella, and Alice are living together in an apartment in Portland and they always end up going on really crappy dates with total losers, so they decide that until the New Year they will not date or have sex with any guys, hence the ’Boy’cott. Edward, Jasper, and Emmett are three friends who work at a bar called the Downunder together, and they’re tired of dating girls that they call ”barflies” – girls who hang around them all night, trying to hookup with them.

Well, obviously the two groups meet, and they each start developing feelings about the respective other, ie. the usual couples. Obviously, it’s a problem because Alice, Rosalie and Bella made the Boycott, and to ensure that they all stuck to it, Alice had all three of them put in 200$ each, and whoever stayed within the rules of the Boycott the longest would get all the money to spend on a fabulous pair of shoes. So, complications ensue, people fall in love, and it is basically one of my fav Twilight fanfictions of all time. I suggest you all read it.

So very busy

Posted by: katiee on: September 12, 2008

I’m really sorry, everybody, I haven’t been on in a couple of days, school and everything else is just taking some time to get adjusted to. So much STUFF to do.

Anyways, I’m doing psionics lots, I’m actually getting some scary-good results with TPS. Life is good. I can program my psiballs a LOT better too, now that I actually know what I’m doing. I can make them hot, and hopefully cold (though I haven’t tried that one yet).

Otherwise, life has been per usual, so there’s not really anything new to post. Ttyl!

I’m a workerbee!

Posted by: katiee on: September 9, 2008

Jokes. ^^

I’ve started doing psionics again, which is awesomeee, so that I can have something to do during the dreary nothing-filled dayz de Sun. I’m gettin’ better at it, so that’s happy-making. I found a really good article on ways to use psi without setting aside a time to “practice.” I’ll put it up here if I can. I dunno if I’ll be allowed to, ya see, somebody else wrote it.

I’m trying out for the school drama club. I’ve got a fab monolouge all prepared and memorized. For those who want to know, I’m doing the opening monolouge from LotR, the one that Galadriel does when she’s telling the whole “Sauron created the one ring to rule them all” story. My audition’s tomorrow so right now I actually gotta jet so I can practice. Cya later~!

Midnight Sun

Posted by: katiee on: September 8, 2008

After a recent Internet leak of the first twelve (unedited) chapters of Midnight Sun, Stephenie Meyer has made the descision not to publish Midnight Sun. Omg. I know. SM feels that she can’t write the novel in her current frame of mind, after what’s happened, so she’s put the story on hold indefinitely. In her own words: “…If I tried to write Midnight Sun now…James would probably win and all the Cullens would die…I feel too sad about what has happened to continue working on Midnight Sun.

Stephenie says that this particular leak wasn’t what was supposed to be read – it was an unedited, flawed version of the story. She feels it is full of mistakes and it is “…not the way the readers were supposed to experience the novel.” Stephenie did mention that she still fully appreciate the support of her fans, and that right now she is concentrating on her family – and working on some other projects.

It’s very upsetting, yes, I know, I was floored when I read about it – but we still have to give SM our full support. It’s her story and her universe that she’s created, and part of it was posted in a way that she never wanted it to be. If you want to change it (I know I do!) there are lots of Facebook groups and petitions you can sign. We need to let Stephenie know the disappointment we feel – and though we’re not pressuring her to get back to it immediatlely, we wish her and Midnight Sun all the best. Remember, it’s not going in the garbage – it’s just on hold. So hopefully Steph will be able to get back around to it, and eventually we will all get to experience Midnight Sun the way were meant to.

I’ve arrived, indeed

Posted by: katiee on: September 5, 2008

FIrst off, I would like to explain why I haven’t been on for a couple o’ dayzz. Sorry bout that, school started on Tuesday and I have to take the city bus to and from school, plus homework and extracurriculars, and the dance last night. Obviously, I’ve been a little preoccupied.

Anyways, other than being so busy, school is great, my new bag is aMAZing, I’ve been lookin’ pretty spiffy (haha, nobody uses that word anymore) with ma new clothes and cutie-pie haircut. That vest I got is beyond adorable. My accessories definitely add flair to my outfits, but suckily one of my super-hawt necklaces broke yesterday; the pendant fell off during the dance. Sigh. I really liked it, too. I guess I’ll live. I still have the rest of my necklace, though.

So, yaaa, the story’s coming along nicely, I haven’t got the fourth chapter done yet, but a lot of the plotline’s coming together. It’s gunna be really sweet. I’m lurrrvin it. I promise it’ll be waaay more exciting. Honestly, the first three chapters are like, only the first chapter of the real story…I have to divide them so they fit onto my pages properly.

I gotsta go, but I will keep ya updated, fer sure!
